Where speed is of the essence we can provide an overall cover varnish using a Heidelberg press which we call Celloscreen. This enables us to finish a high volume of sheets with faster turnaround.
Cellocoat is our overall varnish is applied on a rollercoat machine and provides 100% coverage across a sheet. Cellocoat is available with a gloss, matt or rough matt finish. Cellocoat UV varnish contains a high level of silicone in its formula to aid the slip of sheets in high-speed conversion processes, for example, magazine cover binding, and so does not lend itself to glueing.
Cellocoat is often used to provide a glossy overall finish to magazine covers after a foil is applied to a header. This is also referred to as book varnish or rollercoat varnish.
