Celloglas is awarded AA BRCGS certification
We’re proud to announce we recently passed our BRCGS hygiene audit and have been awarded with a BRCGS certification – the leading product safety and quality certification for retail suppliers.
The BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety is a global standard accreditation that provides a framework for managing product safety, integrity, legality and quality in the food manufacturing, processing and packaging industry. It’s used by more than 25,000 certified suppliers in over 130 countries. Our facilities and staff have been accredited with prestigious Grade AA status – meaning customers can have even more confidence that our finishing operations meet global standards and all our work is handled in a hygienic manner.
Hard work has been put in across the board at Celloglas for this accolade. Every member of staff is now fully compliant in the standards, aware of and implementing all cautionary procedures throughout our sites. Not only that, but many of our suppliers have been brought up to speed too and they also operate to standard.
Part of the strategy for gaining the BRCGS certification was to invest in a new foil blocking machine and increase the packaging work we do on our Leicester site.
John Locke, group operations and technical manager, commented: “We’re extremely proud of this achievement. It comes hot on the heels of the recently installed new foil blocker at Leicester and the two go hand in hand in our bid to take on more packaging work. Hopefully, their coming together will show those in the industry that we’re serious about our finishing operations.”
The highly regarded certification was developed by food industry experts to inspire customer confidence in retailers and manufacturers and ensure products and services are of the highest standard.
The BRCGS hygiene audit is held annually so customers are assured we’re always evolving and always up to standard.
